Weigang launches modular flexo press

Spring Xu, international sales manager at Weigang, said: ‘The first show of our flexo press was very successful. Our customers congratulated us for the new machine launch. They are happy with the press design, appearance and the performance. We sold three presses onsite and have received several potential orders.’ 

 

The machine uses a servo control system from Germany’s Rexroth-Bosch, with each printing unit driven by an independent servo motor. There are a total of 23 servo motors for an 8-color machine for accurate registration during high speed running. The press makes use of printing sleeves while a chilled impression roller allows the press to print on film material. The company says it is not necessary to adjust pressure when changing  rollers. 

 

The press is configured with a minimum of four color print units and a maximum of 12. It has a maximum printing speed of 180m/min. Maximum print width is 330mm and maximum web width 340mm, with a printing repeat length ranging between 241.3mm and 603.25mm. Maximum unwinding and rewinding diameters are 900mm each.
