Wilson Manufacturing grows its presence in North America
Wilson Manufacturing, a supplier to the flexographic industry and pioneer in machine-sharpened dies, has opened a new facility in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
The new facility will initially provide repair and sharpening services for a wide range of converters in the greater Toronto area, as well as customers throughout Detroit and Buffalo.
It began operations on September 8 from 230 Nantucket, Unit 4, Toronto, Ontario.
Wilson Engineering estimates that a typical die requires retooling four to five times over its lifetime. Related cross-border shipping costs can reach upwards of 30 percent of the cost of the die. The new Wilson Manufacturing facility will help to significantly reduce such costs for these Canadian and US customers.
Todd Westover, sales and marketing director of Wilson Manufacturing, said: ‘We are excited to bring our world-class service organization closer to the customers who count on Wilson to keep them productive and profitable.
‘Our new Toronto facility will make it faster, easier and more affordable for these regional converters to handle all their rotary tooling needs.’
Earlier this year, Wilson Manufacturing marked its 35th anniversary.
