Women in Packaging UK extends reach with new events and website

Women in Packaging UK has introduced a new-look website and more events for next year as it seeks to connect, support and recognize female employees in the UK packaging industry.

Women in Packaging UK has introduced a new-look website

The industry group supports and encourages female employees in roles across all material substrates, process and packaging applications, and across the supply chain from designer to retailer within the packaging industry.

The new-look website has been designed to act as a central point for those wanting to find out more information about the initiative. It provides access to essential information and features, and a comprehensive explanation of the group’s mission to ensure female employees in the packaging industry are equipped with the right tools to ensure their future success in the industry. There is also an area for mentoring.

Joanna Stephenson, Women in Packaging UK co-founder, said: ‘We’re continually developing new and more effective ways to engage with women so we’re delighted to announce the launch of our new website. We have designed it to be easy to use ensuring it reflects Women in Packaging’s importance in the industry in providing the right level of support, training and recognition.’

The new website launch coincides with the announcement of two new networking events in 2018. The first event takes place at the Doubletree, Hilton Hotel in Leeds on January 23, followed by an event in Birmingham on February 28 to coincide with Packaging Innovations 2018.
