HarperScientific, the printing and coating supplies division of anilox roll supplier Harper Corporation of America, launched the Phantom QD portable proofing system at Labelexpo Europe in Brussels in September.

‘The Phantom QD was well received and generated much interest from the customers and vendors who visited our booth,’ said Alexander James, technical graphic manager of Harper GraphicSolutions.

The new Phantom QD is equipped with its own pressure loading system. Features include a magnetic-loaded doctor blade, quick-change anilox and rubber rollers and roller interchangeability with Echocel Junior and Phantom hand proofers. The new system requires no compressed air or electricity for operation.

Company representatives demonstrated the new proofing system at the Harper Graphics booth at the show.

‘We developed the Phantom QD drawdown proofing system as an advancement that qualifies as both an exciting innovation and a practical solution and judging by the initial response at Labelexpo Europe, our projections were right on target,’ said Jim Harper, vice president of HarperScientific.
