HP presents digital print technology at Labelexpo India

At Labelexpo India 2018, HP is showcasing its latest tools and innovations for digital printing of labels, shrink sleeves and flexible packaging.

These include systems for workflow, printing and converting, along with a range of applications from worldwide converters that using HP Indigo’s Liquid Electrophotography (LEP)-based digital printing. 

HP SmartStream Collage, an automated variable design for HP Indigo printing, has been unveiled at the event. It offers unique designs by manipulating elements randomly for unlimited brand impact using logos and symbols.

‘With the ability to print anything at any length by leveraging the LEP technology, our customers can automate and optimize their production floors with powerful press and workflows. This can help them to produce more at lower costs and measurable results.’ he added.

HP is also showcasing a series of projects such as ‘Share a Coke’ personalized bottles and Polycrol Mosai bottles during the show. These are Made in India projects by HP customers Huhtamaki and Trigon respectively. 

HP is demonstrating the HP Indigo 6900 digital press with new applications and effects while running in-line with the one-pass digital embellishments unit. 

The commercially available HP Indigo Pack Ready for Labels system can producehigh-resistance labels for food, household and chemical applications. A range of HP Indigo ElectroInks for labels and packaging along with the HP Indigo ElectroInk Silver are also on show. The ink supports a wide range of metallic colors.

HP has set up a Security and Brand Protection zoneat the event to provide experience of advanced security and brand protection systems, including exclusive covert serialization with HP Indigo ElectroInks Invisible, unique layered brand protection with micro-text, anti-copy/anti-counterfeiting marks, track and trace and more. The zone also demonstrates the capabilities of HP Link technology which enables brand owners to track each individual product unit through its entire life-cycle by creating and using a combination of marking technologies that create an adaptable and secure digital fingerprint.

HP is also providing demonstrations of the new high-performance, modular and scalable print server at the event. Further, it is showcasing the production automation capabilities of the cloud-based HP PrintOS Site Flow for Labels and Packaging,OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency) monitoring, EPM Analyzer and the new HP PrintOS Marketplace.
