Mactac Printing Products introduces redigo

Mactac Printing Products has enhanced its Indie line of certified stocks for Indigo, expanding its product offerings to include Mactac's patented non-ooze MP910 adhesive. It has also added redigo, complementary labelstocks optimized for topcoating by the customer.

In addition to the 78 inch web width now available with Indie, Mactac’s PreciseSM Program provides next day shipping and allows customers to order only what they need. Mactac claims the inclusion of the MP910 adhesive in the Indie product line makes it the only patented non-ooze adhesive available on the market that is formulated for trouble-free performance in digital presses. This enables faster and cleaner runs, providing printers an improved price point due to quicker turnaround capabilities.

Mactac Indie Products received a three-star certification rating from Rochester Institute of Technology for performance on the WS4050 and WS6000 presses. The test measures for runability, or web handling and registration, ink adhesion and blanket compatibility. The three-star rating is reserved for the best performing substrates.

Redigo is a new line of untreated labelstocks that offers converters the convenience of applying their own topcoats. Many converters utilize both pre-topcoated and non-topcoated products that are treated on press prior to Indigo printing.  The new line of redigo stocks are optimized through paper chemistry and process conditions during adhesive coating to perform best for topcoating on press. The redigo products mirror the Indie products, allowing customers to have the same product both pre-topcoated and ready to be Indigo printed or non-topcoated and ready to be topcoated.

The full line of Indie certified labelstocks is specifically engineered for Indigo press technology and can be used anywhere a flexo printed label is used.
