Madiwor launches workflow software for label industry

Argentine company Madiwor has launched a workflow software specifically targeted at the label industry.

Madiwor has been developed for label converters by label converters

The project is the brainchild of brothers Ignacio and Sebastian Morrison, who between them have decades of experience in the label sector thanks to their work with family run company Nyssa, a self-adhesive label converter based in Buenos Aires which was founded in 1994 by their father Carlos.

Ignacio Morrison, whose professional background is in information systems, initially designed a workflow software for in-house use at Nyssa. This system, after extensive trialing and use at the label converter over an 18 month period, is now commercially available.

According to the Morrison brothers, the software is easy to implement and run, and is highly customizable. Modules include production planning, estimating, raw material inventory, finished product stock, B2B e-commerce (an extranet facility), and material cut and assignment.

‘Madiwor is a system created by industry professionals who know first-hand the challenges faced by label converters,’ says Ignacio Morrison, who has also designed workflow software for companies outside the label sector. ‘It has been designed specifically for label converters. It is very easy to implement and can be adapted to suit the user’s needs.’

Users can install the complete system or select the modules they require. The cross-platform software can be integrated into an existing workflow, or operate as a stand-alone system. Madiwor is currently available in English and Spanish, but the system is configured to be translated easily into other languages.

Madiwor will make its international debut at Labelexpo Americas 2018 on stand 5831, held in Chicago on September 25-27.
