Maxcess unveils blade sharpening system for Tidland customers

Maxcess, a manufacturer of web handling equipment, has unveiled the Tidland Blade Sharpening System, which gives customers the power to sharpen dull blades on their own schedule without removing the blade from the cartridge or sending the blades out to be reground or sharpened.

The Blade Sharpening System empowers Tidland customers to maximize productivity and significantly reduce blade sharpening costs by giving them the ability to sharpen their own blades on their own timetable. The entire Tidland knife cartridge is inserted into the 2' deep x 3' long unit, sharpened at the push of a button and ready to be placed back into operation in 90 seconds. The Blade Sharpening System can be used to sharpen Class II and Class III Tidland knifeholders, including Performance Series, Series 'C' and e-Knifeholders.

‘This new technology is simply a way to better serve our customers, so we designed it to be extremely safe and easy to use,’ said Peter Wood, global product manager for Tidland Slitting. ‘With a push of a button, we're enabling maintenance or production departments to quickly and easily sharpen blades in-house, eliminating the need to send blades out for regrind or sharpening.’
