New name for Momentive Performance Materials’ release coating product range

Momentive Performance Materials has announced the new trademark name ‘SilForce’ for its release coating product range, which is fully aligned with the new global company strategy, and more focused upon the labeling industry. During the Nurenberg Coating
Show, the company promoted new grades from its release coatings and pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) portfolio.

SilForce SL8030 is claimed to be a ‘new generation’ of controlled release additive (CRA), giving ‘linear response’ with rubber based and hot melt adhesives. This CRA is suitable for the company’s solventless coating such as the SilForce SL6161 system, as well as with its conventional SilForce SL6600.

‘By enhancing the Anchorsil 2000 additive, we are fulfilling our commitment to help the film label manufactures deliver high quality products in an easy and cost effective manner,’ said Pierre Lvque, marketing manager, Release Coatings and PSA, Momentive Performance Materials.
