Screen develops blue ink for Truepress Jet L350UV+

Screen Graphic Solutions (Screen GA) has developed a new blue ink intended for use in its Truepress Jet L350UV+ digital label press. The ink will be released worldwide in June.

The new blue ink is designed to run on Screen's Truepress Jet L350UV+ digital press

The company says there is a growing need for the ability to use the blue colors often required for corporate designs and product packaging with digital label presses to provide greater flexibility and impact.

Developed in response to these trends, the new blue ink is designed for use with the company’s Truepress Jet L350UV+ system, which can print on a wide range of substrates at speeds of up to 60m/min.

The machine’s ability to handle blue ink in addition to conventional CMYK and white inks allows it to reproduce blue colors in corporate designs that were previously difficult using process colors alone. It is also able to precisely output a wide range of blue tones frequently used on the packaging of items such as cosmetics, toiletries and body care products.

Screen Europe showed the Truepress Jet L350UV+ with the new blue ink at an open house at its Amstelveen showroom in the Netherlands on May 15-16.

Partners joining Screen at the event included Cerm, Hybrid Software, Avery Dennison, Rotocon Europe, SEI Laser, CGS and Kurz.
