Shuttleworth Business Systems has launched the latest version of its management information system (MIS).

Version 5 has a redesigned user interface which is said to bring improved efficiency to the user. Adopting the Microsoft Outlook appearance, the new Shuttleworth systems enable customers to reach any part of the MIS quickly and efficiently.

Paul Deane, joint MD of Shuttleworth, said: ‘It was a big decision for us to invest in complete redesign of the user experience of Shuttleworth, however, following an extensive beta test program the feedback has been fantastic.

‘We are continually conducting research with our users, gathering information that will help drive our developments in a direction which customers require. Our primary aim with Version 5 was to help the user get to information more quickly so it improves their effectiveness and enables them to deliver world class customer service.’

Further enhancements to the software are planned for next year. Deane continued: ‘One of the big factors for the development team was to provide a platform to build further functionality into the interface. The next release is scheduled for early 2012 and will include drag and drop capability from Outlook, a built in dashboard, enhanced reporting and support for mobile devices.’

Upgrades with all the new functionality is provided to Shuttleworth users free of charge.
