Wacker Silicones showcases new coating solutions

Posted in New Products on October 02, 2007

The Wacker Group has developed systems which minimize the amount of platinum catalyst needed for complete cure. At Labelexpo Europe 2007, Wacker showcased the new solvent-free Dehesive 915 release coating which enables very good coverage at reduced coat weights – leading to lower release liner production costs.

Wacker also showcased products from its high-speed series: Dehesive 906 AMA and Dehesive 902 AMA, as well as the catalyst HSPC AMA. The Dehesive 906 AMA and Dehesive 902 AMA release coating systems were designed for high-speed machines and enable coating speeds of over 1,000 meters per minute. The integrated anti-misting additive AMA suppresses the formation of silicone aerosols and volatile organic compounds – even at rapid coating speeds. In addition, it prevents the formation of air bubbles that cause streaks in the release coating.
