Rohm and Haas appoints new North American general manager

Rohm and Haas Company has announced the appointment of Cheryl Martin to the position of North American Region general manager for adhesives and sealants.

The Rohm and Haas adhesives and sealants business is a world-class supplier of formulated adhesives, coatings and polymers for adhesives and sealants, serving the packaging, converting, transportation, construction, and pressure-sensitive adhesives industries.

Ms Martin's appointment is effective November 1, 2005. She will assume the former duties of Mark Douglas, who was recently voted vice president and procurement director for Rohm and Haas, by its board of directors.
 
Ms Martin joined Rohm and Haas in 1988 as a senior scientist. She has since held positions of increasing responsibility as quality systems manager for the corporation, worldwide market manager for specialty coatings, director of investor relations, and most recently, director of financial planning. Ms Martin will be based in Philadelphia at the company's global headquarters.
