Sato UK achieves FSC and PEFC certification

Posted in Latest News on 21st December 2009

Labeling and identification company Sato UK is now certificated by the Forestry Stewardship Council and the Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification. This certifies Sato as a manufacturer of labels and tags produced from materials originating from approved sustainable and audited recycled sources.

Sato UK now offers a range of labeling solutions where the material is derived from a certified source, under a monitored chain of custody scheme. This means that the raw materials are tracked through every stage in the supply chain, from the forest to the final user. The FSC and PEFC logos carried on Sato packaging guarantee the integrity of the source materials.

’Sato recognizes that the conservation of the natural environment is critical to creating a sustainable society and this issue is an integral part of our ongoing corporate activities,’ said Neil Batchelor, sales and marketing director of Sato UK. ‘The FSC and PEFC organizations set high standards promoting environmentally responsible forest management practices worldwide, sustaining the earth’s forest resources for future generations. The certifications are a welcome addition to our company’s ongoing commitment to the environment.’
