Siegwerk has signed a definite agreement for the acquisition of Hi-Tech Inks, a prominent Indian producer of flexographic and gravure printing inks. The move will significantly strengthen Siegwerk’s position in the fast-growing Indian flexible packaging market, making the combined business the largest player in the country with over 20 percent market share.

The acquisition underscores Siegwerk’s long-term commitment to India and the broader Asia region, one of the company’s most important strategic growth markets. By bringing together complementary strengths, expanded production capabilities, and a wider product offering, Siegwerk is set to deliver greater value, innovation, and supply reliability to packaging converters and brand owners across the country.

Hi-Tech Inks will add a robust portfolio of solvent- and water-based inks, metallic and special-effect inks, varnishes, and over print varnishes (OPVs) to Siegwerk’s global portfolio. The integration will enhance Siegwerk’s manufacturing footprint in India with dual sites in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan and Vapi, Gujarat – improving capacity and operational resilience. The combined organization will employ approximately 1700 people across India, further boosting Siegwerk’s ability to serve converters and brand owners with more robust capability and responsiveness.

CCL Industries to acquire Sleever International

CCL Industries has signed a binding option agreement to acquire Sleever International Company, a family-owned shrink sleeve specialist headquartered near Paris, in a deal expected to close by mid-2026 pending required procedures, including workers council consultations in France.

Sleever operates 11 manufacturing sites across Canada, France, Germany, Belgium, Ireland, Poland, China and Brazil, and generated approximately 213m USD in 2025 sales with an estimated adjusted EBITDA margin of 11.1 percent.

The acquisition brings together the two companies' respective sleeve product lines, which combined represented around 700m USD in sales in 2025. CCL says the deal will expand its sustainable sleeve offering, broaden its global manufacturing network and accelerate innovation through shared R&D and engineering capabilities.

The company delivers end-to-end labels, including labels, tags, printers, applicators, software and turnkey systems for electronics, building and construction, and specialty chemical markets. Armis operates from headquarters in Ingleside, Illinois, with facilities in Kansas, Mexico and Europe.

Brad Zechman, a 25-year adhesives and labeling industry veteran, leads the company as chief executive officer. The integrated platform leverages shared technical expertise, global supplier partnerships and customer-centric approaches to accelerate response and delivery timeframes.

'Armis fills a critical gap in the market for companies that need durable labeling systems delivered faster and smarter, with a differentiated approach to customer partnership,' commented Zechman. Inovar Packaging Group has acquired Kiliper Corporation, a Midwest-based producer of stretch sleeves, roll-fed labels and printed film, broadening its product portfolio and regional manufacturing footprint.

Kiliper is a second-generation, family-owned wide-web printing and converting business serving short-to-medium-run regional and national customers across food and beverage, household chemical, pet food, industrial and janitorial/sanitation markets. Siblings Tom Kiliper and Lindsay Maysent, who own and operate the company, will remain as co-presidents following the acquisition.

Stratus Packaging Group has acquired Colmar-based Freppel Imprimeur, bringing the European label and packaging manufacturer to more than 520 employees across nine production sites with turnover exceeding 100 million EUR.

'Since the creation of the Stratus Packaging Group, our ambition has been to develop both organically and through external growth, while respecting the fundamental principles that still guide us today: a strong sense of belonging, overall performance and continuous improvement of our employees,' said Isidore Leiser, CEO of Stratus Packaging Group.

Founded in 1968, Freppel Imprimeur employs 60 people and operates a 5,000 sqm production facility. It specializes in self-adhesive, dry and wraparound labels as well as commercial printing, with capabilities in combined offset and screen printing, flexography, digital printing and integrated prepress. Finishing capabilities include hot and cold foil stamping, embossing, laser engraving and varnishing. The company serves food, beverages, wine, spirits and luxury markets.

The acquisition gives Stratus Packaging Group new development opportunities in Alsace, eastern France and Germany, while strengthening its presence in the wine, spirits and luxury segments where conventional and digital technologies complement each other.

'This merger quickly proved to be an obvious choice, as Freppel Imprimeur and the Stratus Packaging Group share common values: family-owned businesses, the same spirit of innovation and investment, commitment, customer service and team complementarity,' noted Denis Maciuk, managing director of Freppel Imprimeur.

Henkel has agreed to acquire the Dutch-based Stahl Group for a purchase price of 2.1 billion EUR (2.4 billion USD), which is majority-owned by the French Private Equity firm Wendel SE.

Stahl is a global player in high-performance specialty coatings for flexible materials, serving leading brands across automotive, fashion and lifestyle and packaging markets around the world.

The portfolio comprises leather finishing coatings, performance coatings as well as high-performance paper packaging and graphics coatings. The company employs around 1,700 employees and generated adjusted sales of approximately 725 million EUR (856 million USD) in fiscal year 2025 with a balanced regional footprint.

‘With the acquisition of Stahl, we will further strengthen our Adhesive Technologies business unit in line with our strategic agenda for purposeful growth. It will enable us to expand into the attractive adjacent category of specialty coatings with product offerings in core as well as in new end-markets, driving further growth in our Adhesive Technologies business unit. Together with the recently announced intention to acquire ATP Adhesive Systems, we have agreed to two significant M&A projects, adding up close to one billion euros of sales and substantially advancing the growth potential for our world-class Adhesive Technologies business,’ said Henkel CEO Carsten Knobel.

Mark Dorn, executive vice president and responsible for Henkel’s Adhesive Technologies business unit, added: ‘Stahl operates an asset-light, know-how-based and service-driven business model with a high degree of customization, making it a great strategic fit for our business. The company offers a complementary portfolio serving various customer segments, many of which are already served by Adhesive Technologies. Furthermore, it provides valuable complementary technology and R&D capabilities that will enable us to bring more innovation to our customers. With majority of the revenues generated through environmentally responsible water-based solutions, Stahl will underpin our sustainability commitments.’

The transaction is still subject to certain conditions, including mandatory consultation processes, regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.

The acquisition brings Hueck Folien a partner with more than 30 years of experience in developing and manufacturing optical-grade microstructures. The Paramount, California site employs 30 people and will operate as a fully integrated development and production location within the Hueck Folien Group.

'The expertise and IP portfolio of security features of our new colleagues in Los Angeles is vital for the further development of Hueck Folien,' according to Christoph Steger, CEO of Hueck Folien. The company will continue collaborating with various partners and manufacturers of originations worldwide.

Hueck Folien currently supplies security features for one-third of the world's currencies, including the Euro and Swiss franc. The acquisition expands its offerings into luxury packaging, trading cards, lighting and special optical applications.

Company founders Chris Rich and Joel Petersen will remain with WaveFront Technology to ensure continuity and preserve expertise. Hueck Folien will support integration with regular on-site presence from its Baumgartenberg headquarters.

The acquisition follows the November 2025 commissioning of a high-vacuum metallization facility at Baumgartenberg, part of Hueck Folien's ongoing investment in cutting-edge technologies.

The Autajon Group has integrated Quality Label, a Dutch label converter specializing in food-industry applications, thereby expanding its presence in the Netherlands.

Founded in 1997, Quality Label operates from Terschuur and holds BRC certification for its labeling products. The company will continue operations as Autajon Quality Label, maintaining its workforce and production standards.
