Hybrid Software Brandz has launched Artflow 25.09, the latest version of its artwork and packaging management platform, designed to enhance efficiency, accuracy and automation for brand owners and their supply chains.

The release introduces real-time Gantt chart tracking to provide clear progress visibility and more accurate delivery forecasts. Retro planning enables users to schedule backward from launch dates while flexible revision times allow each review stage appropriate attention. Automatic alerts provide early warnings when deadlines face risk.

'Artflow 25.09 is our most advanced release yet, giving brand owners complete control over artwork timing, compliance and automation,' commented Ben Dekeyser, product manager at Hybrid Brandz. 'These innovations help companies deliver packaging faster, more accurately and with greater confidence.'

The version adds AI-assisted rules for streamlined compliance validation and tighter proofreading workflow with fuzzy search to locate copy directly on artwork. Customizable language displays allow users to select which languages appear during proofreading sessions. Grouping, filtering and sorting options simplify complex copy sheet handling, making compliance checks faster and more reliable.

Artflow 25.09 expands integration capabilities through a new Public API built on Azure API Management, providing secure and scalable cross-system automation including product and brand data synchronization.

The platform now integrates with MyCloudFlow, Hybrid's SaaS workflow automation platform for packaging graphics, enabling end-to-end automation, including barcode placement, packshot generation, and step-and-repeat creation, directly from within Artflow.

The enhanced copy management features address the deadline pressures of brand teams while maintaining accuracy standards across complex packaging workflows.

Teklynx International has launched Central 8.0, an enhanced version of its enterprise label management system that combines design, approval, print automation and reporting capabilities.

The company's latest release eliminates the need for client installations, enabling label printing directly from web browsers to increase operational efficiency and reduce IT overhead. The system allows companies to manage labeling from a single central location across multiple facilities.

Key enhancements in version 8.0 include improved management of unused printers and inactive users, simplified integration for cloud deployments, increased visibility into administrative functions and automatic email distribution of labels, pick lists or shipping notices with print requests.

EyeC has reported strong results from Labelexpo Europe 2025, where it presented its latest innovations and products for automated artwork and print image inspection across prepress, off-line and in-line applications.

At the center of attention was the company’s new AI-powered defect classification for the EyeC ProofRunner Web in-line inspection system. For the first time, artificial intelligence enables fully automated, content-based analysis of quality deviations. The pre-trained system categorizes detected defects with high precision, differentiating between quality-critical errors that require attention and minor deviations that do not affect the final product.

Another highlight was the launch of the EyeC Proofiler Graphic Connect, a SaaS-based prepress software that runs independently of operating systems and hardware. It compares print-ready or step-and-repeat files with approved artwork files. With its intuitive user interface and seamless integration into leading workflow systems, such as Esko and Hybrid Software, this cloud-based product provides a modern alternative to the increasing demands of the graphics and packaging industries.

Visitors also had the opportunity to explore EyeC products at the booths of its partners Esko, Hybrid Software and Rotocon. Attendees especially valued the live demonstrations and
direct technical exchange with EyeC experts.

Teklynx International released the latest version of its enterprise label management system: Teklynx Central 8.0.

This technology combines label design, approval, print automation and reporting to help companies across industries control labeling from one central location. Hybrid Software concludes successful Labelexpo Europe 2025

Hybrid Software, developer of software and electronics for packaging and label printing, had a successful conclusion of Labelexpo Europe, held last week in Barcelona. Hybrid introduced three AI-based products. In addition, the company announced the acquisition of Conics, a software development and consultancy firm for the printing and packaging industry based in Ypres, Belgium.

The first of these products was Matches, an AI-driven application to search all jobs produced by a printer or trade shop to find jobs with similar attributes or elements, including text, barcodes and even image content. Many packages are similar but differ in key areas such as sizes, flavors or languages, so identifying similar jobs produced in the past helps assure fast and error-free production of new jobs. Matches is based on AI technology developed by Hybrid Software’s customer and partner Saueressig and is available to users of Hybrid’s CloudFlow software on a subscription basis.

Second, the SmartDFE front end for digital presses is built around a patented algorithm that uses proprietary AI modeling to predict the speed at which a label or package will print on a given digital press, and then optimizes the content of that job to maximize the productivity of the press. SmartDFE was pervasive at Labelexpo, powering high-speed presses from Mark Andy, Dantex, Weigang, Flora and many other manufacturers. SmartDFE, as well as other high-performance software including Harlequin and Mako, is developed by Global Graphics, the OEM business unit of Hybrid Software.

Finally, the acquisition of Conics brought a higher level of AI expertise to Hybrid Software, specifically through its jAImes product. jAImes uses a trained AI agent to extract order data from natural language emails and prompts customers to supply missing information to complete their orders accurately and on time. It also interfaces with packaging MIS systems such as Cerm to create production orders automatically for a higher degree of automation, especially for reorders, which make up a large percentage of production for many packaging printers and converters.

Hybrid Software chairman Guido Van der Schueren said: 'Artificial intelligence is a very important topic to our industry and our customers, but much of what has been introduced is based on marketing hype with little or no tangible benefits to the packaging industry. Our Labelexpo showing puts Hybrid Software in the forefront of AI offerings with a real return on investment for our customers. Furthermore, our AI products are all based on private large language models (LLMs), which protect the security of our customers’ data. We never train public LLMs or commingle customer data; our customers simply would not accept that. With our strong investment in R&D, we will continue to enhance and expand our AI offerings in the future to have an even more significant impact on the labels and packaging industry.'

Hybrid Software has acquired Conics, a software development and consultancy firm for the printing and packaging industry based in Ypres, Belgium.

Conics specializes in partnering with customers to assist the selection and implementation of graphical software and bridges gaps with custom development and integration services.

Hybrid Software CEO Mike Rottenborn stated: ‘Our strategy has always been to build from our core competency of high-end graphical software for labels and packaging, then strengthen that with targeted acquisitions of complementary technologies. With the addition of Conics, we strengthen our position in project management and consultancy. Their experience in successfully delivering complex projects is a perfect complement to our existing expertise and is increasingly requested by printers and brands.

In addition, Conics’ expertise in AI and in particular its products are a perfect fit with Hybrid's own offering for labels and packaging.

'We are planning to jointly develop even more innovative software solutions that will have a significant impact on the labels and packaging industry,' Rottenborn said.

Conics’ founders Dries Maerten and Frederic Vandelanotte confirmed this.

‘We are excited to become part of the Hybrid Software family. We know their software well, having executed many high-profile integrations of Hybrid’s Cloudflow workflow over the last several years,’ Vandelanotte said.

‘We will remain a separate business unit of Hybrid Software and will continue to operate out of our offices in Ypres. We integrate software solutions from many industry vendors as required by our customers, and this will continue in the future,’ confirmed Maerten.

GSE shows new ink management systems at Labelexpo Europe

At Labelexpo Europe 2025, GSE (stand 3A-47) has launched ink dispensing and management software innovations that improve automation and data collection within the label and packaging printing workflow, reducing waste, accelerating response times and supporting smart decision-making.

The new industrial version of the Colorsat FCS (Formula Checkweigh System) manual ink dispenser offers a robust, space-saving solution for preparing spot colors on an occasional basis. The dispenser calculates and scales ink recipes to the required batch size, guiding the operator through a controlled weighing process for each ink ingredient. The FCS may also be used as a dedicated weighing station for press-return inks, when integrated with a high-volume, automated dispensing and conveyor system, optimizing throughput, avoiding workflow bottlenecks and reducing manual effort at makeready stage.

At its stand, GSE demonstrates this integration with a Colorsat Solo single-ingredient dispenser, both sharing a common interface and weighing scale.

The Colorsat Solo is purpose-built for accurate, fast and clean dispensing of single-ingredient inks, such as process colors, transparent whites or special coatings. It draws from storage drums or IBC tanks, and dispenses ink needed for the print job into smaller containers.

The new Colorsat FCS and Solo dispensers, like all in GSE’s Colorsat program, feature a modular build with exchangeable parts. This allows customization and extendability, to suit application, output requirements, space availability or ink-set used.

GSE has also introduced Advanced reporting, a new software module that automatically generates ink usage and availability reports. The program is available within GSE Ink manager (GIm), the company’s suite of software tools for streamlining every stage of ink logistics.

With GSE Ink manager, converters can automate key processes including ink purchasing, inventory control, recipe creation, dispensing, traceability and re-use of press returns. This brings faster, more reliable color matching with less administration and reduced risk of error.

By integrating with MIS and cloud platforms, GIm provides real-time visibility of ink consumption, stock levels and costs – enabling better planning, reporting and decision-making. Enhanced automation and data-sharing not only cut costs, but also deliver valuable business intelligence.

GSE is also showing its augmented reality (AR)-powered virtual ink room, with touch pads, allowing visitors to digitally design ink workflows and visualize how these may be integrated within their own operations, overcoming the complexity of spatial constraints and optimizing motion on the production floor.

‘Ink logistics is about uniting smart hardware with smart data,’ said Maarten Hummelen, marketing director, GSE. ‘With our new Colorsat dispensers and Ink manager software, converters can automate color preparation, gain real-time insight and cut waste – building faster, more sustainable workflows.’
