Toshiba TEC products receive regional EPCglobal certification

Toshiba TEC’s UHF Gen 2 RFID modules and auto ID printer range is now EPCglobal certified in North America, Australia, Japan, China and Europe.
Toshiba TEC RFID-ready barcode label printers interconnect and enable customers to share EPC Information Services (EPCIS) data between trading partners in each of the designated geographical regions. The EPCglobal Certification is part of an effort by Toshiba TEC and EPCglobal to improve Electronic Product Code (EPC) and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) hardware interoperability within the EPCglobal community.
‘Toshiba TEC is the only EPCglobal certified manufacturer that produces both UHF Gen 2 RFID modules and auto ID printers,’ Masato Yamamoto, executive vice president, said. ‘As part of our leadership position in leading edge auto ID technologies for supply chain operations, this hardware certification ensures auto ID interoperability with immediate effect to support the trade community around the globe.’
The EPCglobal hardwareinteroperability testing certification applies to the Toshiba TEC UHF Gen 2 Readers as well as to the Toshiba TEC B-SA4/SX4, SX5, SX6 and SX8 RFID-ready barcode label printers.
