Beer barrels encoded by Atlantic Zeiser

Rothaus, the German brewer of cult beer Tannenzäpfle, has installed Atlantic Zeiser technology to create a variable and personalized printing solution for all its barrels at the brewery in Baden. Rothaus now uses digital inkjet UV printing for the encoding of its barrels with a single-pass Omega 72 printer, Smartcure 75/200, and a Mini-Controller. The system is integrated with the cleaning and filling of Albert Frey Keg barrels.
‘The aim was to fill our barrels, which differ in filling capacity, type of dispenser and diameter, and label them in different languages, without changing jobs’ said Ralf Krieger, a specialist engineer at Rothaus. ‘The system indicates data in different languages relating to filling, expiration date, the barrel and batch number, and the ingredients and bar codes.’
Atlantic Zeiser's advanced UV inkjet solution delivers high-quality printed labels. ‘The ultimate goal was to improve the current situation and have a solution able to meet our future needs,’ concluded Krieger.
