Comexi to open solventless lamination demo center in China
Comexi is to open a demo center in Shanghai specializing in solventless lamination as the company looks to advance its strategy to ‘become a genuine local partner’ in China.

The Comexi China branch office in Shanghai is to open the demo center this September, which will provide professionals in the region with access to the Catalan firm’s options for solventless lamination, as well as a team of experts to address operational and maintenance issues.
The demo center will house two solventless laminating machines – a Comexi Nexus One and a Comexi Nexus SL2.
Asia accounts for more than 10 percent of Comexi’s overall sales volume, and in the last seven years it has installed more than 80 systems in plants in Eastern Asia, including printing, laminating, cutting and peripheral equipment.
Further, China is currently a center of growth for the Comexi Group, and the Catalan company is improving its local service there and offering specific options for that market as a result. The opening of a demo center in Shanghai specializing in laminating is designed to enhance this.
Miquel Salvà, Comexi Group’s corporate market director, said: ‘We aim to become a genuine local partner, a partner you can trust to offer optimum service and a global focus on leading technologies.
‘Comexi Group is seen in China as a global solutions provider, a company other firms trust to carry out their flexible packaging projects. Our experience in China tells us that converters must respond to the same requirements as Europe, but with an even higher standard of quality. Also, there is a clear trend towards sustainable conversion, and so solutions like offset printing or solventless laminating have caught the market’s attention in recent years.’
