Harden Packaging invests in Comexi
Australia’s Harden Packaging is extending its production capacity with a Comexi Flexo F4 press and Nexus SL2 solventless laminating machine.

The flexo press and laminating machine are to be installed at Harden Packaging’s plant in Melbourne.
Harden Packaging already operates Comexi equipment and is investing it again to extend its fleet of machinery so that it can offer its clients ‘top quality products in as short a time as possible’.
Harry Young, Harden Packaging chief executive officer, said: ‘We decided to purchase Comexi again after having such a good experience with our Flexo FW1508. In seven-plus years we have only had very minimal down time due to machine faults, but any minor problems we have had were dealt with swiftly either by the 24-hour Comexi help service or the local electronics service AGS.
‘We are also more than happy with the print quality we are achieving on a day to day basis.
‘Local agent APT has been very professional in its initial sales and after-sales service. As a footnote the solventless laminator is installed and running smoothly much to our delight.’
The Comexi Flexo F4 is an 8-colour machine available in widths of 670mm and 870mm, with print repeats of up to 600mm. The Comexi Flexo F4 includes sophisticated electronic systems to ensure the best printing quality, and can print on various substrates including plastic film, paper and laminates.
The Comexi Nexus SL2 works with solventless adhesives, and is designed with state-of-the-art technologies for maximum reliability and simple operating.
This new model is the evolution of the successful Comexi Nexus Evo, and is capable of working at a maximum speed of 450m/min with an available width of 1,330-1,530mm.
