Christchurch-based Pakworld has taken a step into the digital world by combining print packaging for New Zealand premium skincare manufacturer Aroha Spawith the mobile phone.

Incorporating a Microsoft tag that can be scanned by a Smartphone, it points the user to a mobile website which in turn reveals information about the product and contact details. Pakworld says the result is a close consumer engagement with the product, including video and web content to inform and influence a purchase decision. Pakworld worked with an Auckland-based IT company to deliver the final solution and says it will continue to offer tagging applications for customers’ marketing campaigns.
