Schreiner VarioLight renamed

For almost ten years Schreiner VarioLight, the printed light division of Germany-based converter Schreiner Group, has been developing light design products based on organic electroluminescence. In addition to luminous films, the portfolio includes printed conductor paths and multi-functional control surfaces for the products offered.
This wide range of products will now be expressed in the division's new name; the development partner and supplier for printed electronics products has been renamed the Schreiner PrinTronics competence center.
The name Schreiner PrinTronics reflects the company's increasing focus and expertise in the area of printed electronics; it has been developing film-based products with integrated electronic functions. The company sees printed electronics as 'a growth market with major potential', with increasing demand for thin, light-weight and flexible electronics.
'Our strength is rooted in the power of innovation and the capability of combining a wide range of technologies with each other,' said Roland Schreiner, who is responsible for sales and production at Schreiner Group.
Schreiner PrinTronics will retain the brand name VarioLight for electroluminescence products. VarioLane stands for printed conductor paths; VarioTouch for products with capacitive sensors.
