Armor adds AWR1 and AXR1
Thermal transfer specialist Armor has introduced AWR1 and AXR1, two new ribbons designed to strengthen the product offering of its partners.

AWR1, a wax ribbon, is an entry-level labeling product and has been introduced as a competitive option for all price sensitive paper labeling applications. It offers sharp and dark print on rough papers, as well as on coated materials, for barcodes, alphanumeric data and logos. Applications range from storage and shipping, to tags and medicine labeling.
AXR1, a resin ribbon, is designed for applications where print durability and competitiveness are strongly linked, the company said. AXR1 can be used with a range of substrates, from coated papers to synthetics, is resistant to abrasion and some solvents, and can be run at speeds up to 10ips. Applications range from industrial uses, such as rating plates and signs, to medical devices and laboratory labeling.
Armor is preparing to launch more products for various markets and applications, with further details to be announced in due course.
AWR1 and AXR1 were introduced at Labelexpo Asia 2015. Read a review of the show in L&L issue 1, 2016
