Microtrace unveils embedded film

Embedded film is now available from US-based Microtrace, in addition to the security features offered by the company for security labels.

Embedded film is delivered on custom security labels as a solid metallic color film strip. To verify authenticity, the strip is simply peeled away from the label. When removed, the embedded film strip changes from the solid metallic color to silver with a custom printed message such as logo, company name or other predetermined mark.

This technology allows for instant, on-site verification without the use of detectors or readers.

Microtrace taggant technologies can also be incorporated in security inks and applied to labels.
