Bio4Life, a provider of sustainable materials, is launching a home-compostable pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA), suitable for direct food contact. This new adhesive helps reduce waste and promote environmental responsibility in the food packaging sector.

With growing concerns over plastic waste and the need for more sustainable products, the introduction of this home-compostable PSA provides an eco-friendly alternative that does not compromise on performance. The adhesive is designed to be used in food packaging applications, offering a safe, effective and environmentally responsible option for manufacturers, retailers and consumers alike.

The adhesive is certified to break down entirely in a home-composting environment, helping to reduce landfill waste and offering a
sustainable alternative to traditional plastic-based adhesives. It is suitable for packaging labels, fruit labels and other food-related applications. It retains bonding strength and durability, and is made from renewable, non-toxic materials, supporting the broader movement toward reducing plastic pollution and promoting circular economies.

'We are incredibly excited to offer a solution that helps address the urgent need for
more sustainable packaging alternatives,' said Arjan Klapwijk, CEO of Bio4Life. 'This
new home-compostable pressure-sensitive adhesive is a game-changer. In addition to
the long-standing BioTAK S100 (which is exclusively industrially compostable), the
introduction of the home-compostable BioTAK HC700 represents our commitment to
eco-friendly stewardship. By offering a product that is both food-safe and compostable, we are empowering businesses to make more sustainable choices without sacrificing performance or safety.'

The introduction of this innovative adhesive is part of Bio4Life’s ongoing commitment to
advancing sustainability in packaging and materials science. As consumers and
industries alike demand more sustainable products, Bio4Life continues to invest in
research and development to create products that help reduce environmental impact.
