Flexo Gurukul prepares for first technical seminar
Flexo Gurukul, a technical seminar to be organized by Fasco Printech at Khar Gymkhana in Mumbai on April 28-29, has already surpassed 100 registrations from more than 60 companies, with the likes of Ajanta Packaging, Pragati Pack and Total Print Solutions.

Participants attending the spring event include a mix of those looking to start operating in the flexo printing business in India and some of the most prominent Indian printing companies such as Pragati Pack, Sai Packaging, Ajanta Packaging, Total Print Solutions, Positive Packaging, IDMC, Zircon, amongst others. The profile of the attendees include managerial and above professionals.
The program for the first Flexo Gurukul includes a look at the types of flexo printing inks available, investigation of photopolymer flexo printing plates, the use and selection of plate mounting tapes and the production of anilox rollers, before concluding with a session looking at the interaction of the ink, plate, tape and aniloxes in the flexo printing process.
Frank Burgos, the flexo veteran and president of FlexoExchange USA will be addressing the two-day seminar in Mumbai, and has been involved in the organisation of the program for the four sessions to be held over the next two years.

Fasco Printech is launching Flexo Gurukul as a series of flexo technical seminars for printers in India, with a session each in autumn and spring. The second session this year will be organized in Delhi just before Labelexpo India, taking place October 29 to November 1. The second session will go more in depth about technical aspects of flexo printing and will be the next level of training session.
The second seminar will cover topics such as spot color expectations and challenges, four-color process control and understanding color standards.
