Kingston Carton makes MIS investment

Tharstern is to provide Kingston Carton with the latest version of its Estimate Pro product within Tharstern Primo. This also includes built-in support for Esko’s ArtiosCAD CAD-X product. Using the CAD-X API, it offers ‘seamless integration’ between the two products.

With a direct link into the Esko Artios CAD library, parametric designs and layouts can be browsed and used to create fully function print production estimates that are JDF compliant.

Estimate Pro allows the creation and comparison of multiple quotes with differing production scenarios at the touch of button.

The software will also provide Kingston Carton advanced customer stock capabilities, as Tharstern will be supplying a comprehensive set of modules to support the fulfillment side of the business, including sales order processing, multi-location stock, bill of materials, barcode stock control and scanning devices, plus production scheduling linked up with shop floor data terminals.

An additional important benefit of the Primo MIS will be JDF integration to manroland’s Printnet system, which will be of paramount importance to capture the print production costs within Kingston Carton’s production plant.
