Advanced Vision Technology (AVT) presents its complete ranges of quality and process control technology for the label printing and rewinding market at Labelexpo Americas 2012.

Technology on display includes:

PrintVision/Helios II – The 100 percent inspection technology is designed to meet the requirements of any label and narrow web application. It is a sophisticated system capable of inspecting all print technologies both on press and on rewinder and has many additional tools and modules.

SpectraLab – SpectraLab is a new add-on module to the Helios II family, featuring in-line spectral measurements according to the international ISO standards. It provides absolute color measurements, L*a*b*, and Density readings to match with brand owner’s color standards and design and to help in maintaining perfect color match all through the run. SpectraLab is the only ISO compliant spectrophotometer available on the market for the on press in-line measurement of absolute color and density values of color critical packaging.

PrintVision/Helios Sense – Another new product is AVT PrintVision/Helios Sense 100 percent inspection platform, which is designed to simultaneously inspect and verify print and transparent varnish faults. Helios Sense can also view and inspect braille in parallel to print.

RLM (Repeat Length Measurement) – RLM is a new addition to Helios II, enabling the monitoring of repeat length and providing alerts for any deviation.

Zero Setup – Answering the market needs for inspection on shorter runs and digital printing presses, AVT presents it’s ‘zero setup’ ability and advanced automation.

Workflow Link – Customers can see the well-established WorkFlow Link using the information from the inspection on the press to automatically stop the rewinder.

ProMIS – ProMIS sends the relevant information from MIS systems directly into the Helios II inspection system, shortening set-up and preventing mistakes.

Other technology includes job verification using the original PDF file, barcodes and variable data verification, and DeltaE color measurement.

AVT has a large installation base within the packaging market, and is seeing growing demand for inspection technology on both traditional and digital presses. It was announced recently that AVT was selected to join the HP Partner Program for the Indigo division.
