Bobst presents UV Track technology for printed food packaging at Labelexpo Americas 2016
At Labelexpo Americas 2016, Bobst has demonstrated flexible packaging printed on the ‘safest press for food packaging’, with an M6 in-line UV flexo press running on its stand.

To make it the 'safest press', as claimed by the manufacturer during presentation of the technology at Labelexpo Americas 2016, the M6 uses low migration inks from Flint Group alongside two sensors that monitor the UV level on press, both for conventional UV and UV LED technology. Named UV Track, this system tests and tracks the ink curing safety directly on the substrate during rather than after printing, with ink safety on each printed meter certified instantly and online during printing. An ink safety certificate for the whole roll is available immediately.
M6 also further features Digital Flexo technology developed by the Revo partners, which, amongst other benefits, allows fast changeover by automating key elements of press set-up and extended color gamut printing that sees 90-95 percent of Pantone colors to be produced off seven print units.
Bobst also presented its web fed carton converting technology via a video wall on its stand, and other products from its printing and converting portfolio via an interactive touchscreen desk.
