Primera launches free software for Mac users

Primera, a manufacturer of specialty printing equipment, is offering a free version of Labels & Addresses Primera Edition to all its registered customers using a Primera LX-Series label printer with a Mac OS X based computer.  

While Primera’s inkjet desktop label printers come with the Windows-based design software NiceLabel SE Primera Edition, Mac users previously had to create their designs out of other software programs such as Corel Draw, Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator.

Labels & Addresses is developed by Ukrainian software company BeLight Software. Primera Europe is already offering a free version of BeLight’s Mac-based Disc Cover Standard Edition software for Primera’s Disc Publishers.

Labels & Addresses is a home and office tool for printing all sorts of labels. The program helps to design and print labels, such as address, shipping, file folder and barcode labels. Merge printing capability makes the program a great office tool for those who need to print multiple labels in one go, using data from a print list.

It’s easy to print individual labels or batch print addresses from Apple Address Book, Numbers 09, MS Entourage, MS Excel, MS Outlook 2011, Now Contact, FileMaker, vCards or tab-delimited text files. Furthermore, the software prints Intelligent Mail, USPS Postnet, Canada Post and Royal Mail barcodes on labels to ensure fast and accurate delivery, and correctly formats addresses for more than 50 countries. In order to print price tags or product box labels it’s essential that industry-standard barcodes such as Code 39, Code 128, EAN-8/13, UPC-A/E, ISBN and Data Matrix barcodes are supported.

Labels & Addresses Primera Edition is customized to run with Primera’s label printers and therefore integrates all standard rectangular and some circle and oval Primera labelstock sizes.

It also includes Primera label templates and 1,000 clipart images that add a personalized or corporate look to all label layouts. It is also possible to import all kinds of file types such as EPS, PDF, JPG, GIF, TIF, PNG as well as PSD and AI files. BeLight offers an Extras Pack that includes 100 additional fonts and a further 40,000+ high-quality images.

The software is suitable for producing product, address, box, file folder labels as well as price tags on all Primera LX-Series printers (LX200e, LX400e, LX900e) but also on Primera’s PX450e POS color printer and FX400e foil imprinter.

Labels & Addresses runs with Mac OS X 10.5.8 or later and is available in English, German, French and Spanish.
