Imageworx installs North America’s first Eco3 flexo technology

Imageworx will also function as a demonstration facility for the Eco3 total flexo products.

Imageworx, a provider of prepress services and flexographic plates for the narrow and wide web flexo printing market, has installed North America’s first Eco3’s full suite of flexographic technologies, including software, equipment, and consumables.

Imageworx will also function as a demonstration facility for the Eco3 total flexo products. The installation will include the Amfortis workflow, patented SPIR@L screening, and GridTune surface patterning software, along with the MAGIS DI 600 H+ imager, MAGIS F 830 dry film, and MAGIS P-L solvent plate and laminating system.

‘Eco3 plates deliver a flat-top dot with integrated screening patterns that enhance final print quality,’ said Jerry Toepfer, CEO of Imageworx. ‘They allow us to offer a higher-quality plate to our customers. After testing the technology, we knew this was essential to meeting our clients’ expectations.’

This summer, Imageworx will host customers at its Innovation Center in Levittown, Pennsylvania, showcasing Eco3’s complete flexo technology and demonstrating the benefits in productivity, quality, and sustainability.

Toepfer lists many advantages in Eco3’s integrated system, including high-quality print, an open architecture allowing for non-proprietary workflow, unique and effective screening algorithms, reasonable material and hardware costs, and an excellent technical and support team.

‘Imageworx is committed to bringing the latest technology and quality printing to the flexographic industry,’ said Alex James, business development officer at Eco3. ‘We are very pleased that Imageworx chose to advance its flexo technology with Eco3’s suite of flexo products and services.’
