Singapore’s Yenom explains expansion strategy

Yenom, incorporated in 1995 in Singapore, provides customized pressure-sensitive label options for a range of industries including FMCG, food, beverages, chemicals, electronics and automobile. Yenom has operations at six locations in five countries across the Asia Pacific region and also conducts sales activities around the world.

At the start of November last year, Yenom moved into a new headquarters and factory building with more than 150,000 sq ft of floor space, located in Jurong.

Since 2012, around 20 million SGD (16 million USD) has been invested in the new office and production plant, including a Drytec coating machine with in-line camera quality control system, new slitting machines, a new cleanroom facility and an enlarged research and development lab.

Technologically, hot-melt rubber adhesive and UV hot-melt acrylic adhesive platforms have been added to Yenom’s existing emulsion acrylic adhesive line.

Vincent Ng, Yenom managing director, said: ‘2013 was a turning point year for us and we were all very excited to move into these new, larger premises.

‘With our investment on new machines and capacities, addition of technology platforms, enhancement of technical and R&D teams and facilities, all these will benefit our customers to have more innovative solutions and quality products, thereby enhancing their competitiveness.’
