CRP enhances color management capabilities
- Investment underpins CRP’s commitment to working towards ISO 12647-2

- CRP invested £3.5m in KBA press equipment in 2011

Speciality products group CRP Print & Packaging has upgraded its Spectral Sensor technology to enhance its offset printing capabilities.

CRP invested £3.5m in KBA press equipment in 2011, and the software upgrade allows the company to provide technologies that maintain the highest standards of color consistency and product quality.

The KBA Qualitronic Colour Control system allows every printed sheet to be measured and the color adjusted on a constant basis throughout the run. With the upgrading of the Lithec Densitronic measuring head, CRP can not only oversee color consistency but also monitor the printed result to the ISO 12647-2 color standard.

CRP’s operations director Tom Lindop said: ‘The upgraded software provides our customers the color consistency that global brands demand. This investment underpins CRP’s commitment to working towards ISO 12647-2 and is a first in the UK packaging market.

‘At CRP we recognize the need to continually provide PoS and packaging customers’ "best in class" color and brand consistency that cannot be achieved using other printing processes and technologies.

'We continue to drive forward the technical standards for high-quality litho print within the UK PoS and packaging markets.’
