Dscoop launches tools to empower cooperation

- New tools to offer support to members around the world
- Tools unveiled at Print United, first Dscoop EMEA conference
Dscoop has unveiled a series of tools designed to allow members of the cooperative to expand customer relationships and grow their businesses globally.
These include: the Dscoop Print Locator, an online directory of members; customizable marketing tools, translatable into five European languages; and new customizable presentations, to provide members with the tools to position themselves as a partner to their client’s.
The tools were unveiled at the first Dscoop EMEA conference, Print United, held November 7-9 in Barcelona, Spain.
The Print Locator is taking the existing online print directory tool and extending it to enhance its functionality. This includes an entry point for marketers and designers looking for a print service provider (PSP), and a separate portal for other Dscoop members looking for solutions and potential partners in other parts of the world.
The new online PSP directory will also permit feedback from customers and other members, similar to feedback tools offered by consumer sites like TripAdvisor, and members to upload case studies, videos and testimonials to their listing.
It will launch in February, and be translatable into more than a dozen languages.
Dscoop executive director Eric Hawkinson (pictured above, left) said: ‘The directory will allow members to reach out to new people, and discover fulfillment opportunities around the world.’
Speaking on a panel discussing the new tools, Dscoop chairman Chris Petro (pictured above, middle) said: ‘No is not an answer in our market; you must be a continual service provider.’
On the same panel was Gary Peeling (pictured above, right), Dscoop EMEA chairman-elect and treasurer, who said: ‘The directory makes PSPs the entry point to international print distribution.
‘No longer do companies need to be constrained by their pressroom. Now they have the potential for international trade.’
Other tools to be launched by Dscoop to support the future growth of members include customizable newsletters and other marketing collateral, and customizable presentations.
The marketing tools and newsletter were developed by Dscoop in a collaboration with marketing experts, authors and trendsetters, which allow members to build customer relationships through the sharing of highly relevant content.
Customizable presentation tools assist members in delivering messages on the power of digital print, one-to-one personalization and VDP via professionally produced, multi-media formats.
The newsletter is available in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish, while the presentations will feature embedded videos and graphics.
These support the existing webinars and training tools offered by Dscoop to its members, and online forums that offer round-the-clock support and advice.
