Perceptor PTXL launches subscription service
Perceptor PTXL has launched a subscription service for its OCR label inspection and code verification technology to make it accessible to low-volume manufacturers.

Perceptor PTXL inspects labels in real-time as they are printed on a Printronix T6000e or T8000 thermal transfer printer. The technology controls the print process to ensure no unauthorized or defective labels are released into the supply chain. Labels are inspected for print quality, data content, and serial number duplication.Defective or incorrect labels are destroyed by an overstrike grid.
Perceptor PTXL inspects and reports against every label at print speeds of up to 6 inches per second. Using its free Open API, Perceptor PTXL can be fully integrated with third-party software to provide real-time results and batch reconciliation.
Benefiting from Printronix’s overstrike capability, Perceptor PTXL inspects for print quality, reads OCR and grade barcodes and automatically eliminates failures. The technology detects print blemishes, duplicate serial numbers and grades barcodes to ISO standards.
Writing all data to a secure SQL database located either on-premise or hosted in Azure cloud not only archives the data but allows real-time performance metrics on throughput.
The inspection system is suitable for compliance industries, such as pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing. Perceptor PTXL is 21CFR compliant and provides user access control, batch reconciliation and an audit trail.
To support this launch, Perceptor Technologies is hosting a global webinar series for end-users, resellers and OEM partners in September 2021.
