Sistrade adds process cost calculator

André Oliveira, flexible packaging and labels solutions department manager at Sistrade, detailed how print operations can have a number of print, converting and finishing processes, which can offer many possible combinations.

In order to assist printers and converters in selecting the most efficient combination, and to maximize their margin and revenue potential, the process cost calculator takes into account a number of variables, from consumables, materials and other tangible assets, to provide a cost per unit calculation, as well as a cost per thousand.

The system is also able to compare different production combinations and compare those, so allowing printers and converters to see the difference between each process.

‘Our goal is to help printers and converters increase their margins while reducing costs, and leverage their equipment to make their production as efficient and profitable as possible,’ said Oliveira.
