Sistrade targets MENA region

- Sistrade aiming to strengthen commercial and technical capacity in Arab world

 

- Deal follows mission to explore opportunities in MENA region

 

Portuguese software specialist Sistrade is targeting further growth in the Arab world after extending its reach into Morocco this month.

 

Sistrade has recently signed a commercial agreement with Amigraph, a graphic arts machinery specialist operating out of Casablanca, Morocco. Amigraph repairs and carries out maintenance on printing presses, taking care of all aspects of the process from handling and disassembly, to reassembly and testing.

 

Sistrade said the deal is designed to increase its presence in North Africa, as this is a region that has been receptive to its systems.

 

The Amigraph deal was struck after Sistrade launched a drive to contact and explore the printing and packaging markets of North Africa as part of its internationalization and expansion project to reinforce its presence in the region.

 

Sistrade said it aims to strengthen its commercial and technical capacities in the Arab world, as well as increase sales in such markets.

 

The exploration of North Africa highlighted various print houses from different sectors in Morocco as being interested in the Sistrade Print system.

 

In addition, Sistrade said it will organize several other explorations directed at the various regions of the Arab world in 2012, namely the Middle East and North Africa, and will participate in events related to the printing and packaging industries of this region.

 

The inaugural Packprint Summit Middle East will take place in Dubai on November 6-7, focusing on the package printing market in the MENA region.

 

Packprint Summit Middle East is being organized in association with Package Print Worldwide.

 

Comprised of a two-day conference and table-top exhibition, the event offers attendees an educational platform to learn about current package printing trends and technologies and network with the world’s leading suppliers and industry experts.

 

The four-day Gulf Print & Pack exhibition follows the summit, and takes place April 8-11, 2013, again in Dubai.

 

Gulf Print & Pack is the only dedicated event for commercial and package printing in the MENA region. It is also being organized in association with Package Print Worldwide.
