Tharstern demonstrates MIS expertise at Labelexpo
Tharstern, the software house with over 700 worldwide installations, has unveiled at Labelexpo Europe 2015 its latest Management Information System (MIS) functionality for labels.

The Tharstern MIS now has enhanced functionality for producing roll label quotes, using an intelligent calculation algorithm that automatically analyzes different production routes, processes and margins. Users can select from multiple options including best price and best margin. The MIS also support versions for roll label quotes and auto-calculation of cores.
On its stand 9A19, Tharstern executives are handing out free copies of its White Paper for the label market. The strategy guide for label printers, ‘How label printers can gain a competitive edge’, focuses on in-house platemaking and reprographic services.
Lee Ward, Tharstern global sales director, said: ‘We’re already firmly on the radar of so many label printing companies, but know there are many others who are yet to take the full journey into the world of MIS. The label sector increasingly understands the many benefits of using an MIS platform from Tharstern that seamlessly fits into other workflows.’
OPM Labels and Packaging Group is one satisfied user of Tharstern systems. ‘Working with Tharstern feels as if we have gained an internal team with the company as they provide a highly skilled proactive team for service and training,’ said Susan Ellison, commercial director, OPM. ‘We would definitely recommend Tharstern to print companies seeking a development partner with the highest levels of professionalism, consistency and reliability.’
Tharstern, which underwent a management buyout in July 2014, is celebrating its most successful year ever and has just launched into the United States. The software specialist was started 30 years ago and its client base has now extended to 700 in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Asia.
