US converter increases label focus with EFI Radius MIS

US-based converter Southeastern Printing has selected EFI Radius as its new MIS software for its roll-fed label business.

Established nearly 90 years ago, Florida-based Southeastern Printing is a producer of commercial and digitally printed materials. During the recent economic downturn, it has taken advantage of the opportunity to acquire a new facility in Pennsylvania and shift its main focus to roll-fed labels. After growing into its third label manufacturing facility, the need for an integrated, packaging-specific ERP system was evident. ‘We had identified other packages, which we looked at in depth, but the answer kept coming up EFI Radius,’ said Diana Gannon, chief operating officer at Southeastern Printing.

The company has been using the EFI Monarch MIS for its commercial printing business since 2000 and is looking forward to the integration of EFI Radius with its existing Monarch Accounting system. ‘We can tell that EFI’s consulting services are really going help us through the planning phase of the implementation process – it doesn’t matter how good the software is if you don’t get a good implementation,’ said Gannon.

‘What the industry and our clients are looking for is vendor-managed inventory. The inventory and distribution management capabilities of EFI Radius are key. Being able to enter forecasts, minimums, maximums, lead times, economic order quantities and those types of MRP features of the system are what we need most.’

EFI Radius is a MIS software platform designed to enable end-to-end, automated business process management from order inquiry to cash receipt for label, flexible packaging, converting and folding carton businesses.
