X-Rite and Eizo agree licensing deal

Color management and measurement specialist X-Rite and imaging equipment firm Eizo Nanao Technologies have signed a special licensing agreement that will see Eizo offer ColorEdge calibration monitor support via its proprietary ColorNavigator software for X-Rite’s i1Display Pro colorimeter product.
 
i1Display Pro (pictured) is a state-of-the-art color measurement instrument to match colors seen on a monitor or projector with the colors of a digital file and those expected from a printer. ColorNavigator is Eizo calibration software and ColorEdge is a series of monitors designed to provide consistent, predictable color for prepress, graphic design, post production and other applications.
 
The Eizo-developed ColorNavigator software makes calibration simple and produces predictable color results. ColorNavigator works with a wide range of measurement devices to directly utilize the Look-Up Table of ColorEdge monitors for accurate and reliable calibration in minutes.
 
The licensing program also allows Eizo to offer a software-only solution to existing owners of the X-Rite i1Display Pro.
