Xanté lays down digital gauntlet at Drupa

US graphics and pre-press printing specialist Xanté is to showcase a range of digital technologies at Drupa as it looks to help its customers ‘maximize their business’, according to chief executive officer Robert Ross.
The Xanté stand will include: the new Excelagraphix 4200 press, powered by Memjet; the PlateMaker 5; iQueue 6 digital color workflow technology; and more.
‘I challenge members of the digital printing industry to see if we can't find a solution that meets their need; if we don't have it already, we will work closely with them, and the market, to get the required enabling technology into our development queue’
The Xanté Excelagraphix 4200 (pictured, top) is a 42in-wide inkjet printing system that offers unrivaled speed, performance and affordability for short-run and variable data color printing to packaging, including folding carton and corrugated cardboard. Xanté's exclusive substrate support gives customers the ability to print indoor signage and design graphics through a simple print path height adjustment on the Excelagraphix 4200.
The Excelagraphix 4200 is the first commercial solution in the world specifically powered by Memjet wide format color printing components and technologies, and prints high impact, full color, large format pieces on a wide range of substrates at “screaming fast” speeds, and at a price point that's affordable for fast ROI.
Xanté anticipates that first commercial shipments will be in June of this year.
The iQueue 6 pre-production workflow is especially optimized for the new Memjet-powered Excelagraphix 4200. It possesses the most advanced color intelligence available for Memjet-powered output, and makes it easy to manage multiple projects, make independent CMYK/density adjustments, match critical spot colors, and select the desired feed, media type, resolution, linescreen and dot shape. Users can also track press consumables, multiple run counts and job cost from a single user workstation.
PlateMaker 5 is an affordable computer-to-plate (CtP) solution that produces high-quality, high-resolution polyester plates and film without processing or chemicals. The complete CtP solution features the iQueue Ultimate Workflow, which automates prepress production, and streamlines the entire platemaking process.
Robert Ross, Xanté Founder and CEO, said: ‘I challenge members of the digital printing industry to see if we can't find a solution that meets their need; because if we don't have it already, we will work closely with them, and the market, to get the required enabling technology into our development queue. Xanté is constantly looking after our market niche by offering cutting edge technology at an affordable price point, working to help customers maximize their business.’
