Visitors to Cadbury World in Birmingham, UK, can take home a pumpkin with a difference this Halloween, thanks to the work of New Vision Packaging.

The Kettering-based packaging design and sourcing specialist has worked alongside the leading confectionery manufacturer to design a box to house the 800g chocolate creation.

The chocolate pumpkin is being sold at the Cadbury World shop, home to an exclusive range of handmade chocolate products, with packaging created by New Vision.

The pumpkin is housed in an outer carton made from a heavy-duty Kraft board, used to give strength to the product. The carton also features innovative pumpkin shaped biodegradable plastic windows, and a carry handle top to ensure that it can be transported safely by the consumer. Printed from six colors and with a satin varnish, the carton features artwork created by brand design agency We Are Pure.

Commenting on the project, Stephen Shortland, managing director at New Vision Packaging, said: ‘We’re approaching our third year of working with Cadbury World and are proud to have a strong working relationship with one of the world’s most recognizable brands.

‘Christmas and Easter are inevitably the key times of the year when it comes to working on confectionery products, so it’s good to see brands exploring opportunities to coincide with other annual events too.’

Gareth Mabbs, chocolate making manager at Cadbury World, added: ‘Once again, New Vision has managed to transform our thoughts and ideas into high quality, visually impacting packaging that perfectly showcase out products.’
