GEW appoints sales manager in Germany

GEW has appointed Jan Jonissek as sales manager, Germany. Jonissek will initially focus on northern Germany, from his office base near Hamburg. He will bring improved geographical coverage in the region to support the existing team at GEW DACH, who are based near Stuttgart in southern Germany.

Jonissek spent the past 10 years with Eltosch Grafix/Hoenle, where he specialized in project management and sales of LED curing systems. He joined Eltosch Grafix as a project manager in 2016, responsible for managing complex, worldwide projects with international partners. In 2021, Jonissek progressed to key account manager and was responsible for the success and expansion of a key OEM partnership in the sheet-fed and web offset sectors.

In his new role with GEW, Jonissek will manage regional sales across many applications, including label and web printing and converting, sheet-fed and web offset printing and all industrial and specialist UV projects.

Jonissek’s early career includes a period in project management at Mercedes-Benz/Daimler in Bremen, as part of his Bachelor of Engineering in industrial engineering.
