GSE to present ink dispensing and software innovations at Labelexpo
The company showcases technologies that simplify ink workflows for packaging printers under the 'Where ink meets intelligence' banner.

GSE has been gearing up to showcase ink dispensing and software innovations that simplify ink workflows for packaging printers at Labelexpo Europe 2025. The company will present technologies designed to deliver efficient operations, shorter makeready times and a more responsive, compliant production environment.
Innovation highlights include a new software package, GSE Advanced Reporting, for the automatic generation of ink usage and availability reports, a new manual ink dispenser designed for less frequent printing requirements, and an opportunity for stand visitors to digitally design and visualize their ideal ink workflow using touchpads.
GSE Ink manager software helps converters work more efficiently with inks and use data about their resources for better strategic decisions. The software can track ink ingredients through complex workflow routes, such as blending and press-return cycles, where spot colors go as a result. Its suite of optional programs offers ways to trace inks and automate ink-related tasks at each step of the workflow, including purchasing, managing inventories, creating color recipes, dispensing, and reusing press returns. This enables converters to meet customers' color needs more reliably and quickly, with less administration and fewer errors.
Capable of integrating with corporate MIS and ERP platforms, GIm software also provides easier visibility into data about consumption, real-time availability, and costs of ink resources, enabling improved planning and reporting. A highlight to be showcased at the stand is GSE Advanced Reporting, which provides automatic report generation for deeper insights into ink consumption, compliance, and forecasting.
GSE's Colorsat dispensing systems achieve accurate, repeatable spot color quality on demand. Potentially reducing ink consumption by up to 30 percent, dispensers help converters minimize ink-related waste and carbon emissions while reducing waiting time. Colorsat automatic dispensers offer compliance with food safety standards on ink handling, by facilitating direct connection of ink ingredient barrels, drip-free barrel exchange and blending without manual intervention.
There will also be an augmented reality-powered virtual ink room, featuring touch pads, which allow visitors to digitally design ink workflows and visualize how these may be integrated within their own operations, helping to speed up decision-making.
Maarten Hummelen, marketing director of GSE, commented: 'Control over ink processes and knowing more about your resources - whether you work with spot colors or expanded gamut - are critical features of a fast-response, sustainable package print operation. At Labelexpo Europe, we will demonstrate how customized ink dispensing and integrated ink management software provide the basis for achieving repeatable color with the most efficient use of resources and the seamless sharing of information for intelligent, strategic decision-making.'
