Eco Flexibles earns AA grade
Flexible packaging specialist achieves second consecutive BRCGS Packaging Materials AA certification.
Eco Flexibles has secured AA Grade certification in its BRCGS Packaging Materials audit for the second consecutive year, this time under the new Issue 7 standard.
The sustainability-focused flexible packaging specialist received only one minor non-conformance report during the audit while achieving the AA Grade. The BRCGS Packaging Materials certification is a globally recognized benchmark for packaging excellence, ensuring the production of safe, high-quality and compliant packaging materials.
The achievement comes as Eco Flexibles continues to expand its production capabilities, including dual Fujifilm Jet Press FP790 digital presses and Karlville Swiss pouching machines.
'Achieving AA Grade certification for the second year running, and against the new BRCGS Packaging Materials Issue 7 standard, is a tremendous endorsement of our team's dedication and expertise. Only one minor NCR was raised, which reflects the robust systems and processes we have in place to deliver the highest standards consistently,' commented David Smith, general manager at Eco Flexibles.
Smith added that sustainability is at the heart of what the company does, and this certification proves it combines innovation with operational excellence. 'It ensures our brand partners can have complete confidence in the safety, quality and compliance of our packaging as we continue to help them transition to recyclable mono-material and paper-based formats,' he noted.
With BRCGS standards implemented at over 36,000 sites across more than 130 countries, Eco Flexibles' AA Grade certification under Issue 7 provides customers with reassurance that the company meets a globally recognized benchmark for packaging excellence and food safety.
