Phoenix Challenge names 2026 college winners
Clemson University takes overall honor at Milwaukee flexo education competition.
The Phoenix Challenge Foundation has announced the winners of its 19th Annual College Competition, held in Milwaukee ahead of the FTA Forum and InfoFlex, with Clemson University taking the overall title.
Toronto Metropolitan University won the research category, Illinois State University took the graphics award and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo claimed the concept and execution honor. Appalachian State University also participated in this year's competition, which brought together five universities across the US and Canada.
Participating students were introduced during the Forum's opening session and recognized at the annual banquet, with networking opportunities connecting them with suppliers and converters from across the flexographic community.
'I continue to be inspired, impressed and frankly just excited to see the number of participants,' said Bettylyn Krafft, chairman of the Phoenix Challenge Foundation. 'It shows that skilled trades are needed and there is growing interest in flexo, label and package printing. This is why I do this, to help and watch these students thrive.'
