Print Scotland has announced 22 new associate members, bringing total membership to 64 organizations, as the Scottish print and packaging trade association reports progress on a lobbying campaign that has prompted a Scottish Government review of apprenticeship funding disparities with England.

New members include Kodak, Ricoh and Bank of Scotland, which Print Scotland says reflects continued confidence in the sector. The apprenticeship funding campaign, which highlighted a disparity between Scottish and English funding arrangements, has resulted in a full government review, cited by the association as evidence of what a unified industry voice can achieve.

'Our industry achieves far more when we work together rather than in competition with one another, and the recent success of our lobbying on apprenticeship funding disparity is proof of what a unified voice can achieve,' said Michiel Molenaar, president of Print Scotland. 'There is plenty of life in the print sector, and these new associate member numbers show that clearly.'

'Both members and associate members benefit from belonging in many practical ways, including low courier rates and HR support, and we are continuing to improve our events and member offerings,' noted Garry Richmond, director of Print Scotland.
