Weigang appoints Grafopel as exclusive distributor for Portugal

Portuguese converters gain access to Weigang engineering expertise through a strategic distribution partnership.

Weigang has appointed Grafopel as its exclusive distributor in Portugal, combining its engineering legacy with Grafopel's six-decade market presence to accelerate growth in offset and flexographic printing applications.

The strategic alliance unites the two companies to redefine excellence in offset and flexographic printing applications, marking a significant step in Weigang's continued European expansion and Grafopel's mission to strengthen its position in Portugal's label sector.

Weigang brings years of engineering experience to the partnership. At the same time, Grafopel contributes six decades of market dominance in Portugal, creating what both companies describe as a convergence designed to accelerate Portugal's label evolution.

'Our mission to dominate Portugal's label sector meets its perfect match. Weigang's obsession with reliability and customer growth mirrors our DNA; together, we'll equip converters with future-proof competitiveness,' said Paulo Monteiro, CEO of Grafopel.

Spring Xu, global sales director at Weigang, emphasized Portugal's importance to the company's European growth: 'Portugal planted the seeds of our European success in 2009. With elite partners like RCM, Etiquel and Vox, and now, with Grafopel's leadership, we're scaling new heights of shared triumph.'

The partnership will combine Grafopel's local market knowledge with Weigang's precision engineering to create what the companies call 'unbeatable market agility' for Portuguese converters.

Weigang reports that 100 percent of its European clients repurchase within five years, a track record that Grafopel now extends to the Portuguese market.
