Screen Truepress PAC 830F wins EDP Award 2026

The company gets recognized in the flexible packaging printing system category.

Screen has bagged the Best Flexible Packaging-Digital/Hybrid for its Truepress PAC 830F at the EDP Awards, held on May 20, 2026, at FESPA Barcelona. The award was accepted on behalf of Screen GP Europe by Juan Cano, business development director and Yoshinari Otani, executive officer, Screen Graphic Solutions.

The EDP Awards are organized annually by the European Digital Press Association and judged by independent experts from Europe’s 20 leading trade magazines. Entries are evaluated across seven criteria: innovation relevance, usability, productivity, quality and durability, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), sustainability and environmental impact, and price and overall value makes an EDP Award one of the most credible validations a press manufacturer can receive.

According to Screen, the Truepress PAC 830F offers advanced inkjet printing agility at industrial levels for flexible plastic packaging. Operating at speeds of up to 75m/min with Screen’s food-compliant inks, the press delivers output at a level of color fidelity and print consistency that meets the demands of branded retail packaging, while offering the production flexibility, job-changeover speed and reduced make-ready waste that reframes the commercial case for digital production in the flexible packaging sector.

Truepress PAC 830F is capable of printing on a wide range of plastic film substrates, including PET, BOPP, and MDO-PE, with water-based, food-compliant inks, or with advanced EQUIOS workflow software that drives automation to improve printing efficiency while opening new business opportunities for short-run promotional or personalized packaging campaigns.

The EDP Award results carry broad significance beyond industry recognition. Findings from the EDP judging process are published in the EDP Award Report and distributed across the association’s 20 member publications, reaching over half a million readers across Europe. For print businesses evaluating capital investment in new press technology, an independent technical assessment provides the third-party validation that carries weight at the board level and in procurement decisions.

Commenting on the company's achievement, Cano said: 'The Truepress PAC 830F receiving the EDP Award reflects the result of extensive development work by the entire Screen engineering team. This digital inkjet press is designed to redefine flexible packaging inkjet production in terms of speed, quality, and workflow agility. For that work to be independently assessed and recognized by Europe’s leading print industry experts is a result we are extremely proud of and a strong signal for the potential of digital printing in an evolving packaging converting sector.'
