West Coast Labels chooses Durst RSCi

British Columbia label producer installs Durst roll-to-roll press to boost short- and medium-run output.

Canadian converter West Coast Labels (WCL) has installed a Durst RSCi roll-to-roll label press to boost short- and medium-run output at its British Columbia facility following a capital investment review in late 2024.

The Canadian label producer selected the RSCi based on its requirement for high print quality, color accuracy, material versatility and fast turnaround on short- to medium-run jobs. The press offers speeds up to 100 m/min and 1,200 DPI resolution.

'We were looking for a machine that could deliver exceptional print quality, consistency, and efficiency, especially for short- and medium-run jobs where turnaround speed is critical,' said Raeanna Joyner, office manager at WCL. 'The RSCi aligned well with our goals of improving consistency, reducing setup time, and increasing flexibility. The system is intuitive for our operators, and the workflow has integrated smoothly into our existing setup.'

‘It was rewarding to work with the West Coast Label team on this investment,’ added Barry Wendell, national sales manager for labels at Durst North America. ‘Success, both immediate and long-term, is built on understanding, collaboration and mutual values. This partnership is built on that, and we look forward to helping strengthen WCL’s position in the industry and to its continued growth.’

Joyner concluded: ‘Our experience with Durst has been positive. The RSCi has been a solid addition to our production floor.’
